HOPE

HOPE

Well, we are still here. For almost 30 years now I have been hearing that the end of the world is coming. They prognosticate over and over of it’s coming on this day here, or in this month there, but, in the end, we are still here. Instant access to social media is a fan, to the flames of this type of dooms day doctrine. To be honest I have become weary of main street media using this garbage to take a shot at my faith in their closing remarks. Christians are not looking for the end of the world and we shouldn't be. This tabloid type of biblical misrepresentation is a clear distraction from what is important. We should be looking for our coming Savior, without question. And Jesus told us to be doing something quite important until the day of His return. He said,  “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matthew 28:18b–20) I have no doubt there is an end to the world that is coming, Jesus even said so. He also said He would be with us until that day so have no fear. Now, in the mean time, we are commanded to be sharing the Gospel, the good news of salvation, with everyone with in our influence, regardless of race or social statice, we are the sent messengers of heaven to all. Not with a message of doom and gloom, but a message of hope, joy and salvation. We are not to be living in fear of the end. We are to live in the faith and power we have been given for Him, until the end.  “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7) Believe it or not there are some things that are more important than the end of the world. Our eternal future and the eternal future of all the world is the thing that we must be looking to. Not the fear mongering of foolish men and women seeking to scare the ill-equipped. #ApplyTheWordDaily #LifeIsWorthLiving #ActionLeadsToChange #HopeInChrist #Hope
