children's ministry

Children in kindergarten through 8th grade learn about God, the Bible, and the Christian life.

Flexible grouping for these students allows children to attend the class in which they are most comfortable and can learn best.  In the lower grades, we continue teaching the Old and New Testaments chronologically, begin working on study skills, and apply principles to daily living.  Teachers use storytelling, crafts, games, and discussion to capture interest and help children to learn and understand.  Older students study books or sections of scripture in greater depth, apply what the learn, and learn skills for the Christian life.  They discover aspects of their own devotional life and life in the church such as personal inductive Bible study, prayer, worship, conflict in the body of Christ, spiritual gifts, and serving in the church. Our goal is for these students to be able to enter into adult church life when they are graduated from Sunday School.
