Hagen Miller

Pastor

Hey, my name is Hagen Miller. I was 16 years old when Jesus changed my life. I was born and raised LDS. When I was a sophomore in high school my best friend invited me to come to his youth group at Calvary Chapel. I went and it radically changed my life. I gave my heart to the Lord and started serving Him. In 2014 I ventured off to college to attend Idaho State University to purse a degree in finance. Before my first year of college was complete I felt the Lord's call on my life to move back to Salmon, so I completed the school year and moved back. I started serving as the youth pastor in the summer of 2015. I worked as a ranch hand, a mail man, and a construction worker until the Lord opened the door for me to come on full time at Calvary Chapel Salmon as the senior pastor in the fall of 2017. My goal is to simply teach the Bible, chapter by chapter and verse by verse, and watch as the power of the word of God, as well as the work of the Holy Spirit make an impact in the lives of people.

Lee Miles

Assistant Pastor (Worship Leader)

Lee Miles, assistant pastor at Calvary Chapel Salmon since 2013, has a very sincere, uplifting presentation of God’s Word. His experience from a rock-and-roll lifestyle prior to his salvation highlights God’s grace throughout Lee's applicable teaching of the Bible.

Budding talent from a young age brought its share of trials to the semi-professional musician. Drugs, alcohol, and promiscuity from the mid-70’s to mid-80’s caused strain and eventually divorce in his first marriage, from which he had two children, Brandon and Nicole. By the mid 80’s, Lee had met and married a wonderful woman, Dana (pronounced Dan-uh), and they were primary caregivers to his two children. Lee and Dana had a daughter, Sydney, while living in Sparks, Nevada.

Lee surrendered his life to Jesus Christ in 1998, and his service began in worship ministry and studying the Bible. In 2005, he became the assistant pastor at Families in Christ Ministries. God’s hand in events led Lee and Dana to Salmon, Idaho, and Calvary Chapel. Lee continues to apply God’s gift of music to the worship ministry where he feels truly alive while invigorating others as well.

Daily Lee falls deeper in love with God, the Lord's people, and desires to see the lost saved through Jesus Christ.

Tim Hayden

Assistant Pastor (School Pastor)

Greetings, my name is Tim Hayden and I have lived in Idaho my whole life and have been blessed to call Salmon home since 2007.  I attended college at Boise State University and at Idaho State University.  At an early age I could feel the Holy Spirit tugging on my heart for Him but not attending church anywhere I was not sure what the feeling really was or how to press into it.  When I was 22 years old, I met a girl at work, and she invited me to attend church with her and her mother.  I quickly fell in love with the Lord, and He began to change my life.  I married that girl in 2000 and being stubborn and immature it took time for the spirit to soften my heart.  Moving to Salmon in 2007, my wife and I began to get plugged into the church.  I helped her in the Sunday school classroom for a year or so and then God called her to be on the worship team and I stayed in the classroom.  It was an honor to serve the Lord together and teach the little children and let them teach us.  Since 2008, God has fueled me to serve the kids through coaching baseball and teaching in the Sunday school classroom as well as teaching for youth group.  God has given me a big heart to pour out into the youth of our community.  In November of 2020, Pastor Hagen asked if I wanted to serve the Lord as Pastor over the Heritage Center and I could see Gods plan for me growing even more.  With prayer and zero hesitation I stepped up to serve.
I continue to learn and grow as the Lord guides the ministries we serve, and to serve the church family.

Jo Christiansen

Admin Assistant

As a child my mom would take us kids to the church, but my brother and I would run out of Sunday school and into ‘big church’ where we would holler ‘We don’t want to be here!’  After a while my mom stopped taking us…I think for her sanity.

I grew up knowing there was a God but not knowing God.  As a youth I would attend church with friends periodically, but I didn’t really listen, and nothing stuck.  When I was out riding in the mountains, I just knew that only a God could create such beauty.
It wasn’t until my mid 30’s that some friends invited me to church at Easter and as I sat and listened God just made sense.  Within a couple months I got baptized and my walk with the Lord has just kept on growing.

In 2016 I moved to Idaho where I began attending Calvary Chapel Salmon, still a broken mess, but still walking with God.  Through His grace and mercy, the kindness of people in the church, and the continuing study of His word today I am closer with God than ever. He is my guide, my light in shining armor, and my daily hope.  My path to God, to knowing God loves me, and trusting Him daily has been a journey of years.  Every day I am grateful for the choice I made in 2006 to start walking toward Him.

Jordan Shafer

Youth Pastor

Hey! My name is Jordan and I was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  I have been blessed with awesome strong believing parents and 6 wonderful siblings. When I graduated High School I knew I wanted to do things a little differently and grow closer to God so I went To Yucca Valley, California, and attended Calvary Bible Institute for a year. While there, Some very important things happened, I made life-long friends, I discovered a passion and calling to ministry, I realized how stupid I was/still am, I grew closer to Jesus in ways I couldn't imagine, I met the Love of my Life Averie Shafer (we got married 6/30/23), and we got called here to Salmon Idaho.
I see my role here at Calvary Chapel Salmon as actively supporting and assisting Pastor Hagen in whatever way I can. I love teaching and hanging out with the kids and also the youths. I'm pretty sure I have the best job in the world.
